Sioux Lookout police identify, investigate body found behind church

SIOUX LOOKOUT, Ont. – Police have found a teenager’s body in a wooded area in this community.

Officers with the Sioux Lookout detachment of the OPP were advised that a body was located in an area behind a church of First Avenue North. Officers attending the scene found the body in that location. The body was later identified as that of 15-year-old Regina Kakekaspan of Sioux Lookout.

The death is now being investigated by the OPP’s forensic identification unit.

A post mortem examination is scheduled for Tuesday in Kenora.
