Police are still saying little about an incident Tuesday at Fort William First Nation that sent two men to hospital.

A 25-year-old and 40-year-old male were transported the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with undetermined injuries. Some reports suggest a stabbing was involved, but police have not released the nature of the injuries at this time.

Anishinabek Police Service, OPP and Thunder Bay Police Service officers all responded to a call reporting an injured around 5 a.m. on Tuesday in the vicinity of the James Street swing bridge.

As a result of the initial investigations it was determined that the injuries had occurred in relation to an altercation on the First Nations Territory of Fort William and Anishinabek Police Service (APS) was contacted.

Police were on the scene for several hours.

More details about the incident are expected to be released on Wednesday.
