James Street bridge southbound lane closing Thursday

The city will be closing the southbound lane to the James Street Swing Bridge in order to complete water main work.
City crews will be starting work on the water main around 6:30 a.m. Thursday and is expected to last until 4 p.m. City officials are advising motorists to use an alternate route while construction crews work on the water main.
