THUNDER BAY -- City police officers have again voted against a major change in their shift schedule.

The 200-plus officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service voted this week on whether to switch from 10-hour to 12-hour shifts.

Thunder Bay Police Association president Greg Stephenson said much like a similar vote held in July, a solid majority of his members voted against the change.

Police board chair Joe Virdiramo said they'll just have to accept the results of the vote, and continue having officers work 10-hour shifts.
