MARATHON, Ont. -- Police have lifted a Highway 17 road advisory.

The Thunder Bay detachment of the OPP have issued the road advisory for Highway 17 Thursday morning.

Police were warning drivers traveling on the highway that conditions were icy and dangerous just east of Marathon.

The advisory was lifted after conditions improved Thursday afternoon.

not sure really why.. but this article is listed 4th in the right hand "News" column - with 3 articles from yesterday hovering above it. should the "new" "News" not show up at the top of the list so it's easily distinguishable as "new" ? especially for something as serious as a road advisory?
