Police looking for witnesses of University Drive hit and run

THUNDER BAY -- City police are looking for witnesses of a hit and run. The Thunder Bay Police Service's traffic unit hopes residents in the University Drive and Inglewood Crescent area may have heard a crash just after midnight Thursday.

The Thunder Bay Police Service's traffic unit hopes residents in the University Drive and Inglewood Crescent area may have heard a crash just after midnight Thursday.

Police say they hope someone has information about the vehicle that fled the scene.

Police say the driver of a white minivan lost control of the vehicle on University Drive and slammed into a parked car at 158 University Drive.

The owner of the parked car looked out the window and was able to see the vehicle back up and flee the scene.

Police say there was extensive damage to the rear of the parked vehicle. The front of the white minivan may also have extensive damage on its front end.
