Assault charge against Kimberly Fox upgraded to second-degree murder

THUNDER BAY -- The woman accused of fatally assaulting a 28-year-old man has officially been charged with murder. Kimberly Fox appeared in court on Jan. 21 for her alleged role in the death of 28-year-old Moses Meekis Kakekagumick.

Kimberly Fox appeared in court on Jan. 21 for her alleged role in the death of 28-year-old Moses Meekis Kakekagumick.

Fox was charged with aggravated assault and breach of probation after an incident on Dec. 29 on Brant Street.

The assault victim in that incident later died in the hospital.

Fox now faces a charge of second-degree murder.

She remains in custody and is expected to make a court appearance on Feb. 19.

None of the charges against the accused have been proven in court.
