THUNDER BAY -- The city's police force has issued issued an alert about an individual who reportedly has been defrauding people over the past few months.

According to the Thunder Bay Police Service, the man has been befriending parishioners at several churches, gaining their trust and then convincing them to give him cash or even access to their bank accounts.

In some cases, significant amounts of money has been taken.

The fraudster is described as being about 55-years old, standing 6'2" with a medium build.

Police are asking anyone who may have been victimized by the man or who has information on his identity to contact them.

I wish you clowns would shut up. If the police had more info, like his name and address then they would have arrested him already.

Given they have identified his modus operandi and given this description, it's more than enough to warn the people he is targeting.

Don't believe the gossip says:
Well given that the victims had befriended this individual and according to the article there were several people victimized by him this would lead me to believe a better description is indeed in their hands. I want to know if the TB Police have a sketch artist on staff and why they havent put out a drawing of him?

They're not asking you to go search for him. They're asking you to be wary of someone like this asking for money at church!

Gee razor, with all your whining lately, you'd think you'd been arrested lately or something. Ha!

Just think of it as part of god's plan, if he didn't want you to get ripped off then you wouldn't or something like that

Wow. What a bunch of losers. I'm not a church goer but people are allowed to believe in whatever they want. Don't you have better things to do than criticize people? Get a life.

Rational says:
If several people were taken in by this low life, there should have been a better description provided. Eye color, hair color, race, facial marks, if any, etc., unless he targeted only visually impaired people.

No description is even necessary really, if someone comes up to you looking for money and/or access to your bank account, tell them to take a hike! I'm sure he's targeting others, not just church goers. Hope he doesn't target any of YOUR family members or friends.
