For the second time in six months a vehicle has driven through the front of the Dawson Road TD Canada Trust Bank at County Fair Plaza.

The most recent incident took place when a truck drove through a windowed wall of the building Wednesday afternoon. The driver wasn’t hurt and able to walk away from the crash.

The incident was similar to an October crash that saw an elderly woman drive through the same front window. The wall was only just recently repaired.

The woman was also unharmed.

Thunder Bay Fire and Rescue Capt. Brian Dychko of the Junot Fire Station said they received the call just before 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday. He said no one in the bank was injured and the driver was an elderly man.

“Apparently this is the second time in less than six months,” he said.

“It was just a plain accident. The driver mistook the gas for the brake from what I understood. It looks pretty bad but no one was injured and that was the main thing.”
