NDP goes hipster in response to Wynne's Thunder Bay visit

It’s unclear if Ontario’s NDP leader regularly Instagrams her food, or collects records of obscure indie bands.

It’s unclear if Ontario’s NDP leader regularly Instagrams her food, or collects records of obscure indie bands.

But in a news release issued Wednesday to media in response to the Premier Kathleen Wynne’s Thunder Bay visit, Andrea Horwath’s team declares the New Democratic Party leader as being a jobs-policy hipster.

“Ontario NDP Leader Andrea Horwath into youth jobs before it was cool,” the news release headline states in bold.

Horwath’s news release continues, stating that the NDP introduced a plan called First Start on-the-job-training during a local visit on Feb. 10.

“Until then the government was working under the impression that young people actually want to live in mom’s basement until they turn 30,” the release adds.

Premier Wynne is visiting Thunder Bay now, and has already toured YES Employment.
