A 13-year-old was taken to the hospital after being struck by a car at a northside intersection Friday.
Thunder Bay Police Service officials say officers were dispatched to the intersection of Algoma and Pearl Streets to investigate the collision just before 9 a.m.
Police say the car was heading eastbound on Pearl Street and turned left onto Algoma Street. The driver struck a boy who was walking his bicycle across the street at the intersection.
Paramedics brought the teen to the Thunder Bay District Health Sciences Centre where he was treated for minor injuries. The teen has since been released.
The 70-year-old female driver has been charged with failing to yield.
