More bike lanes hitting city streets this week

The city is adding bike lanes to several streets this week. Motorists and cyclists are being advised the changes will take place on Adelaide, Arundel, High, Keith and Theresa streets as well as Leslie Avenue.

Motorists and cyclists are being advised the changes will take place on Adelaide, Arundel, High, Keith and Theresa streets as well as Leslie Avenue.

Beverly Street will also have a bike lane added once construction on the roadway is completed.

According to city statistics, the bike lanes have helped reduced cyclist collisions by 70 per cent and motorist collisions by 22 per cent.

The move completes the Current River portion of the city’s active transportation plan.
