The trial for a man accused in the murder of a 54-year-old Thunder Bay man has been set for April.
Sheldon Wabason, 21, was charged with second-degree murder in March 2011 for his alleged role in the death of Robert Topping.
The charges follow an incident where four men broke into a house on Minnesota Street, which resulted in a confrontation where Topping was fatally stabbed.
Wabason appeared in federal court Friday afternoon and a trial was set for up to four weeks in April, with jury selection scheduled for April 7.
Police charged Wabason along with Cody Thompson, who died while in custody, Christopher Hawk and Nicholas Webber in the incident.
The murder charge was dropped against Hawk, who pleaded guilty to robbery in April 2012.
Webber was sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter earlier this year.
Wabason's next court appearance will be Nov. 29.
