More details have been released on a string of camp break-ins reported last week in the Boreal Road and Highway 527 areas.

The break ins all occurred between Nov. 22 and Dec. 2, and involved camps at Max, Decourcey, Pete's and Escape Lakes and off the Boreal Road at Mark's Hoof and Batwing Lakes.

Officials with the Thunder Bay detachment of the OPP say it appears more than $50,000 worth of items were taken in the break-ins.

The list of stolen items includes as many as 17 firearms.

Police are again asking anyone with information on the thefts to contact the OPP or Crimestoppers.
