A crash at the corner of Balmoral Street and the Harbour Expressway slowed traffic to a crawl Wednesday afternoon.
The incident took place just before 2 p.m. The drivers of both vehicles were taken to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre via ambulance for treatment of minor injuries.
Officials with the Thunder Bay Police Service say a south-bound SUV was turning left when it collided with a northbound pickup truck.
The impact then propelled both vehicles into a third vehicle, which was stopped at a red light.
Traffic was delayed for about half an hour as tow trucks cleared the scene.
The 51-year-old man driving the SUV has been charged with a turning violation.
