A man is dead and a woman is in hospital with serious injuries after a collision between a car and a commercial vehicle near Atikokan on Tuesday afternoon.
OPP said Highway 11 was closed in both directions for several hours while the initial invetigation of the incident was under way and crews were clearing the road of debris from the crash. The incident occured just prior to 1 p.m.
The highway was opened to one lane of traffic at about 8:15 p.m.
The names of the victims are being withheld until notification of next of kin,.
