Health Unit restrictions that forced the closure of the kitchen at Thunder Bay's Moose hall have now been lifted.

The restrictions were announced last Wednesday after an outbreak of a food-borne illness that followed a weekend Christmas Party.

Dozens of people had reported symptoms after consuming food at the event.

The Thunder Bay and District Health Unit now says the facility has been re-opened after the Moose Hall implemented some changes to its food preparations and met other requirements that were set out by inspectors.
