Police are looking for a man after a Christmas evening stabbing on the city’s south side.
Officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service responded to the Royal Edward Arms after 9 p.m. on Wednesday evening after a 21-year-old man had been stabbed.
The accused, a 29-year-old Thunder Bay man known both to police and the victim, fled the scene. Police say the incident was an isolated event and they believe alcohol was a factor.
The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and has since been released into the custody of police after being determined he was facing numerous warrants. He has a court appearance on Thursday morning.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the police or Crime Stoppers.
