A 19-year-old was stabbed twice on Boxing Day at Intercity Shopping Centre, but his leg wounds are non-life-threatening.

Thunder Bay Police say the incident occurred at about 2:30 p.m. after an altercation between a group of young people, and led to the arrest of two males in the Canadian Lakehead Exhibition grounds parking lot a short time afterward.

The victim was already en route to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre when police arrive.

Both male suspects are facing several charges, which police did not detail in a news release issued Thursday evening.
