Police say a lone male armed with a syringe robbed a Mac’s Convenience Store on Simpson Street.

The call came in at about 10:30 p.m. on Sunday night.

The accused is described as a thinly built Caucasian male in his 30s, between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8, wearing an orange hooded sweatshirt, black toque and a backpack.

Police said the suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of money and property, but the clerk on duty at the time was not injured.

Police on Tuesday night said they had arrested a 26-year-old male in conjunction with the crime.
