KENORA, Ont. -- A 16-year-old boy from Kenora faces distribution of child pornography charges after police discovered photographs of a 17-year-old girl on an electronic device.
Officials with the OPP say the Kenora detachment officers were contacted regarding the discovery of the photograph. That began an investigation that led to the arrest of the 16-year-old suspect.
Investigators say they believe the 16-year-old suspect had distributed the photograph.
The suspect is expected to make a court appearance on Jan. 28.
The suspects name cannot be revealed in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
