Terrace Bay has hired a new chief administrative officer.

Jon Hall will take over the role after a two-month search. Hall brings six years of municipal government experience, most recently as nearby Schreiber’s clerk.

“I am looking forward to this opportunity and working with the great staff at the municipality. Terrace Bay has a great plan for the future and I welcome all of the challengers the position has to offer,” Hall said in a release issued by the township on Tuesday.

“I will work hard to achieve the goals of council and meet the expectations of Terrace Bay.”

Mayor Jody Davis said the community was looking for someone who could work well with municipal staff and help move the community forward.

“Our interviews showed Jon Hall as a detail-oriented, professional administrator with a vision for thefuture that complemented our own,” Davis said.

“We believe Jon Hall will be a fine addition to the municipality and look forward to him guiding our organization through its challenges and taking advantage of the numerous opportunities we see coming up for Terrace Bay.”
