Washagamis First Nation death ruled suspicious

Kenora OPP are calling the death of a 39-year-old Washagamis Bay First Nation man suspicious. Officials said the man was located in a residence and pronounced dead by emergency crews.

Kenora OPP are calling the death of a 39-year-old Washagamis Bay First Nation man suspicious.

Officials said the man was located in a residence and pronounced dead by emergency crews. A post-mortem examination is scheduled for Monday at Lake of the Woods District Hospital.

The victim's name has not been released. 

Treaty 3 Police continue to investigate the incident, with the assistance of the OPP’s Northwest Region crime unit and the OPP forensic identification unit.
