Walberg named chairman of LU's board of governors

Murray Walberg is the new chairman of Lakehead University’s board of directors. The Thunder Bay-born banker will assume the role in October.

The Thunder Bay-born banker will assume the role in October.

Walberg said he hopes to continue to build on the tradition the university has forged over the past five decades.

“Lakehead University is critically important to the prosperity of our community and region,” Walberg said in a release issued by the university.

“I am proud to be given the opportunity to further support Lakehead’s continued progress and growth as its next chair of its board of governors.”

Walberg will take over the role from current chairman Cameron Clark.
