Ontario’s Progressive Conservatives have a new candidate representing the Thunder Bay - Superior North riding.
Derek Parks was acclaimed during a nomination meeting Tuesday. Following his acclamation, Parks said the North as a region needs a stronger voice.
“We need a voice and we need someone to fight for Northerners,” he said during an interview with CKPR Radio. “We can’t be the doormat for the premier’s office … I think we’re really missing opportunities to develop jobs to bring a booming economy back to the North.”
Parks also made it clear that he would splitting his time between this area and his home in southern Ontario.
