City police have charged a 41-year-old man with possession of child pornography.

Officials with the Thunder Bay Police Service say Jason Repay, 41, of Thunder Bay,  turned himself in on April 9.

A computer, flash drives and DVDs were seized after an investigation by the police force’s computer crime unit. That investigation began in January.

Repay made a court appearance Thursday morning and has been released until his next appearance, which is scheduled for May 9.

As the case is ongoing, the charge the accused faces has not been proven in court.
