THUNDER BAY -- City police arrested and charged a 22-year-old with break and enter, and resisting arrest early Thursday morning.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers responded to a report of a break and enter in progress on Hamilton Avenue just after 2 a.m.

Officers arriving at the scene immediately began a foot chase with a young adult male running away from the scene.

The man was arrested and charged for two break and enters in the area.

Police suspect the 22-year-old man was also stealing from nearby vehicles. Police are asking anyone in the Walsh and Franklin streets area to contact them if they notice missing items from their vehicles.

Police say the suspect is well known to police.

The suspect is expected to make a court appearance Thursday to answer to charges of break and enter and resisting arrest.
