Dryden woman snags $1 million in lottery

DRYDEN, Ont. -- A 71-year-old Dryden woman is the region’s newest millionaire. Marie Martin bought her Lotto 6/49 ticket in Thunder Bay. She says she thought she won $10,000 until the retailer showed her the slip worth $1 million.

Marie Martin bought her Lotto 6/49 ticket in Thunder Bay.

She says she thought she won $10,000 until the retailer showed her the slip worth $1 million.

The mother of six and grandmother of 10 says she will invest her winnings and keep the money in the family.
