Lucy Kloosterhuis has officially launched her re-election bid for mayor of Oliver Paipoonge.

Kloosterhuis has served as the mayor of the municipality representing Rosslyn, Slate River, Kakabeka Falls and Murillo since first being elected in 2003.

She was subsequently re-elected in 2006 and then again in 2010, where she earned nearly 69 per cent of the vote.

So far she is the only candidate to file nomination papers in the mayoral race. Incumbent Eric Collingwood is the only candidate to file nomination papers for the four-member council.

The municipal election will be held on Oct. 27.
