A Thunder Bay man has been arrested on weapons charges stemming from a September 2012 incident.
City police charged James Murray Hinter, 53 with unsafe storage of a firearm and unauthorized possession of a firearm in relation to an incident on Sept. 26, 2012 when officers were called to a North Edward Street apartment after the landlord discovered a number of firearms that allegedly belonged to a former tenant.
Twenty-three firearms were seized including eight handguns and a large quantity of ammunition.
Hinter was released on a promise to appear; he has a court date of May 27.
