Tamara Johnson is back as a candidate in Thunder Bay-Superior North.

Johnson was ousted as a candidate for the Progressive Conservatives party in February after standing by controversial statements she made about First Nations businesses having unfair tax breaks that hurt other businesses in the area.

Now as a Libertarian Party candidate, which she said reached out to her, she is standing by her statements.

"I think we have a severe unfairness happening in Ontario," she said.

Johnson said the party is virtually unknown but doesn't suppress speech and she agrees with the Libertarian message.

She's not sure if she will be invited to debates, but said she would attend if offered.

Jason Lavallee originally decided not to run for the Libertarians in Thunder Bay-Atikokan but after a discussion with the party he will take the nomination.
