THUNDER BAY - City police have released surveillance footage (see below) that shows a man suspected of being connected to a recent robbery that left hotel staff injured.

The incident took place at the Best Western on West Arthur Street at about 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 15.

Officials with the Thunder Bay Police Service say a lone male entered the business, then attacked hotel staff with what is being described as a chemical agent spray.

The man fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

On Friday police released the surveillance footage in hopes the public could help identify the suspect.

The suspect is said to be about six-feet tall, had a thin build and dark hair.

Anyone who can identify the man in the video or has information about the  incident is asked to call the police at 684-1200 or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
