New reports show that the inflation rate rose to 2.5 per cent in the Thunder Bay area. That’s up from the 1.5 per cent increase in March.

Only Calgary, Regina, Saskatoon and Toronto had higher rates for April.

The national average rate of inflation for April was two per cent, while the provincial average was slightly higher at 2.4 per cent.
