THUNDER BAY -- City police have confirmed that the victim of an aggravated assault case has died in the hospital.

Officials with the Thunder Bay Police Service on Monday confirmed that Robert David Barbeau, 48, died on Sunday at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. The man died from injuries he sustained during a June 5 assault.

Barbeau was rushed to the hospital after being stabbed outside of his apartment building in the 800 block of McLaughlin Street.
