SIOUX LOOKOUT, Ont. – The bodies of two boaters missing since Thursday afternoon have been recovered.

Members of the OPP’s Underwater Search and Recovery Unit had been searching for the two men on Lost Lake after a boat carrying eight men capsized due to turbulent lake conditions.

The group was travelling between the communities of Hudson and Frenchmen’s Head. Six of the boaters made it to shore but one of them, 39-year-old Kevin Brisket of Frenchmen’s Head, was sent to critical condition where he passed away.

The bodies of 30-year-old William Chisel and 19-year-old Simon Chisel, both of Frenchmen’s Head, were recovered in the Hamlet of Hudson approximately 20 kilometres from Sioux Lookout.

The Sioux Lookout OPP detachment and Northwest Region Crime Unit continue to investigate.
