Hebert files papers, will run at-large in October election

Larry Hebert has thrown his name back in the at-large city councillor race. Hebert, first elected in 2006, is a former head of Thunder Bay Hydro and a longtime activist in the volunteer and athletic community.

Hebert, first elected in 2006, is a former head of Thunder Bay Hydro and a longtime activist in the volunteer and athletic community.

Hebert is the 11th candidate to file his nomination papers seeking an at-large spot. Other contenders include Naomi Abotossaway, Iain Angus, Diane Armstrong, Andrew Brigham, Vanessa Catalan, Kimberly Coreau, Larry Hebert, Robin Rickards, Aldo Ruberto, Wolfgang Schoor and Barry Streib.

Of the incumbent councilors, only at-large representative Rebecca Johnson, Northwood’s Mark Bentz, Current River’s Andrew Foulds and McIntyre’s Trevor Giertuga have yet to re-file.
