DRYDEN, Ont. -- A motorcyclist is at a Thunder Bay hospital being treated for serious injuries following a two-vehicle crash Monday morning.

Officials with the OPP say the crash took place just before 8 a.m. outside of their detachment headquarters on Highway 17 at Bedworth Road in the City of Dryden.

The crash involved a passenger vehicle that was turning westbound onto the highway from Bedworth Road. The motorcycle was heading east on the highway.

The driver of the passenger vehicle suffered what police describe as minor injures. She has been treated for her injuries and released from the hospital.

The motorcycle driver, a 37-year-old Dryden man, suffered more serious injuries and was airlifted to Thunder Bay for further treatment.

The highway was closed as the OPP conducted their investigation, which is still ongoing.
