THUNDER BAY -- An early morning break-in at a local business has resulted in thousands of dollars in damages along with stolen property.

The Blue Door Bistro on South Syndicate Avenue was the target of a smash-and-grab overnight Wednesday into Thursday.

Owner Craig Napper says he had to keep his business shut for the day because of the damage and the loss of property.

He said the thieves took personal and restaurant items, including alcohol.

He added that  between the damage and thefts, there is About $5,000 to $10,000 in losses.

Napper said he is now focused on trying to get his business back up and running.
