THUNDER BAY -- A male cyclist is in hospital with serious injuries after a collision late Friday night. The Thunder Bay Police Service in a media release said the cyclist and a three-tonne stake truck collided just after 11 p.m.

THUNDER BAY -- A male cyclist is in hospital with serious injuries after a collision late Friday night.

The Thunder Bay Police Service in a media release said the cyclist and a three-tonne stake truck collided just after 11 p.m. at the intersection of High Street and Hebert Street.

The cyclist was taken to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with injuries that are said to be serious but non-life threatening.

High Street between Van Norman Street and Elizabeth Street was blocked for a few hours following the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
