Armed robbery charges laid against 25-year-old in taxi-driver theft

A 25-year-old man is in custody in conjunction with an Aug. 4 armed robbery against a taxi driver. Thunder Bay Police say they arrested Aaron Michael Edward Ducharme without incident on Sunday outside of his South May Street apartment.

A 25-year-old man is in custody in conjunction with an Aug. 4 armed robbery against a taxi driver. 

Thunder Bay Police say they arrested Aaron Michael Edward Ducharme without incident on Sunday outside of his South May Street apartment. He also faces charges in a break and enter that occurred at Shelter House on Aug. 3. 

Ducharme, who has been remanded to the District Jail, faces several charges, including break and enter, robbery with threats, armed robbery and disguise with intent. 

He'll be back in court on Aug. 20.
