Calgary man charged with attempted murder arrested in Kenora

KENORA, Ont. -- Police in this northwestern Ontario city have sent a man wanted in Alberta for attempted murder back to Calgary.

KENORA, Ont. -- Police in this northwestern Ontario city have sent a man wanted in Alberta for attempted murder back to Calgary.

Officials with the Kenora detachment of the OPP say they received information Saturday that a man wanted by Calgary Police may be in the Kenora area.

OPP officers later found the suspect’s vehicle on Highway 17 just before 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

Two occupants of the vehicle were arrested, one of them identified as the accused 51-year-old Ulises Quintero, of Calgary.

The suspect will be returned to Calgary where he will answer to the charges against him.

The other man was released without conditions.

None of the charges against the suspect have been proven in court.
