Man in critical condition after Marathon crash; driver facing charges

MARATHON, Ont. -- A 25-year-old man has been airlifted to Thunder Bay hospital with critical injuries after a Thursday night vehicle crash in the town.

MARATHON, Ont. -- A 25-year-old man has been airlifted to Thunder Bay hospital with critical injuries after a Thursday night vehicle crash in the town.

The OPP, along with Superior North EMS and the Marathon Fire Department, responded to a single vehicle crash on Marina Road near the Peninsula Road intersection.

One of the three passengers was immediately attended to and was rushed to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. The others refused medical treatment.

The 24-year-old driver is facing charges of impaired driving as well as dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm.
