Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug First Nation, Ont. -- This remote First Nation community in Northwestern Ontario will welcome a Royal visitor this week.

The KI First Nation will host the Countess of Wessex, Sophie Rhys-Jones, on Thursday.

She is the wife of Queen Elizabeth's youngest son, Prince Edward, the Earl of Essex.

KI is located on Big Trout Lake, about 300 kilometers northwest of Thunder Bay.

Along with the Countess, Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne will be on the trip.

The KI First Nation signed a treaty with the Crown in 1929. Chief Donny Morris says he's only just learned that the guests were coming and now he's been busy getting everything prepared for their arrival.

He says he's excited to host the guests.

Morris adds that most of the community, if not all, will be at the airport and school to welcome the special guests.
