Thunder Bay Veterinary Hospital hosts an Adoption and Wellness Pet Fair

September 16, 2014 – On Saturday, September 20th the Thunder Bay Veterinary Hospital will be filled with several furry four legged friends as the Veterinary Hospital hosts an Adoption and Wellness Pet Fair.

Interested residents can visit the Veterinary Hospital on Saturday, September 20 from 1 to 4 pm.

“There will be a variety of cats and dogs from several local animal rescue groups available for adoption,” said Sherri Hurtig, Client Relations Co-ordinator, Thunder Bay Veterinary Hospital.

“Festivities during the event include raffles, prizes, face painting, a doggie wash, pet nail trims, dog obedience training demonstrations and a pet wellness and vet booth.  All funds raised will support local rescue groups.”

With several local pet rescue groups participating, this event will allow people to meet with all kinds of friendly, lovable dogs and cats.  Whether its an adorable kitten or a playful puppy, residents will have the opportunity to meet the available pets, chat with experts and take home their new best friend the same day.  If adopting is not an option, residents may look at fostering a homeless pet instead.

“Partnership initiatives such as this create a stronger impact for homeless animals in our community.

The Thunder Bay Veterinary Hospital is very excited to participate in this great event,” said Sherri Hurtig, Client Relations Co-ordinator, Thunder Bay Veterinary Hospital.
