A look at local crime: Sept. 14 to Sept. 21

THUNDER BAY -- City police responded to nearly 125 incidents during the week of Sept. 14 to Sept. 21.

Those numbers come from the crimereports.com, a site that tracks reported crime via information from the Thunder Bay Police Service. The 125 incidents do not include traffic or quality of life issues.

South of the Harbour Expressway, city police responded to 18 assaults and a sexual assault. Officers responded to a half-a-dozen reports of break-and-enters along with nearly 20 cases of theft in the same area.

North of the Harbour Expressway, city police responded to another 21 reported assaults, five cases of break and enter, and two reports of robbery.

Another three reports of sexual assault were made on the city’s north side.

According to the crime reports website, the northside sexual assaults were reported to have taken place on Windsor, Cumberland and Adelaide Streets.
