THUNDER BAY -- Three people have been arrested following a pair of drug raids on the city’s north side.
Thunder Bay Police Service officials say officers with the organized crime enforcement bureau assisted the city’s emergency task unit in searching a home in the 200 block of Tupper Street just before noon.
As a result of that search, police arrested a 36-year-old man and seized a small quantity of crack cocaine.
Meanwhile, drug unit officers converged on a vehicle in front of a Dawson Road hotel and arrested a 36-year-old suspect.
A subsequent search of a room at the hotel resulted in the discovery of a loaded .38 calibre handgun, $15,700 in cash, a small quantity of drugs and stolen property.
A 20-year-old woman was in the room and arrested.
Police say 36-year-old Lee Vincent Chiodo, of Thunder Bay, was charged in connection with the Tupper Street search. He is charged with:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
Thirty-six-year-old Stephan Richard Parr, of Thunder Bay, was charged in connection with the Dawson Road hotel search. She is charged with:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance (two counts)
- Possession of a Restricted Weapon Without Authorization
- Possession of a Loaded Firearm
- Possession of a Firearm While Prohibited
- Two other related charges for the firearm and ammunition
- Proceeds of Crime Over $5,000
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
Twenty-year-old Emily Marie Anderson, of Thunder Bay, was charged in connection with the Dawson Road hotel search. She is charged with:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance (2 counts)
- Possession of a Restricted Weapon Without Authorization
- Possession of a Loaded Firearm
- Two other related charges for the firearm and ammunition
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
Chiodo has been released for a court date of Jan. 20, 2015.
Anderson has been released for a court date of Jan. 13, 2015.
Parr has been held for a future court date.
