THUNDER BAY -- City fire crews responded to a mattress fire at a north side hotel early Saturday morning.
Thunder Bay Fire Rescue was called to the Shoreline Hotel on Cumberland Street shortly after 12:30 a.m. and found a smoldering mattress in a third floor room.
The fire was quickly contained with only the mattress sustaining fire damage and smoke damage was limited to the one room.
Those in the building were evacuated to the lobby and fire officials report nobody was in the room when they arrived.
There were no injuries.
