Man assaulted behind Landmark Inn, suffered signficant injuries

THUNDER BAY -- City police are investigating an assault that left a man with significant injuries.

The Thunder Bay Police Service responded to a call around 7:30 a.m. on April 19 from the staff at the Tim Horton’s on East Avenue about a male that appeared to have been assaulted.

The 48-year-old male victim was in the bike path area behind the Landmark Inn when he was attacked by two to three other males.

He made his way to the Tim Horton’s to get help and was taken to the hospital with significant injuries.
