OPP hosting Northern Police Experience recruitment drive

OPP News Release: (THUNDER BAY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) will be hosting a recruiting initiative known as ”Northern Police Experience” in the City of Thunder Bay on Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31, 2015.

(THUNDER BAY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) will be hosting a recruiting initiative known as ”Northern Police Experience” in the City of Thunder Bay on Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31, 2015.

Up to 50 candidates will be selected to spend two days with OPP officers. 

During Northern Police Experience OPP officers and civilians will be showcasing specialized policing units, such as the Emergency Response Team, Forensics and K9. The candidates will also engage in Defensive Tactics and scenarios and traffic stops. 

Candidates will learn about the recruiting process for both uniform and civilian career opportunities within the Ontario Provincial Police.  Mentor officers will be available to answer questions about their duties and Recruiters will be on hand to talk about the recruiting process.
