Sand trap snags stolen vehicle: OPP

Sioux Lookout OPP are investigating a series of overnight property crimes as well as a vehicle theft. Police say they received two break and enter calls in the Prince and Princess Street areas followed by a theft of a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado.

Sioux Lookout OPP are investigating a series of overnight property crimes as well as a vehicle theft.

Police say they received two break and enter calls in the Prince and Princess Street areas followed by a theft of a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado.

Police then recovered the stolen vehicle stuck in a sand trap at the Ojibway Golf and Country Club.

Police also recovered evidence at the scene and believe these crimes maybe related.

It is also believed more than one person, possibly youths, may be involved or have knowledge of what occurred.

The stolen vehicle was also implicated in damaged property at the Sioux Lookout airport. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward or call crime stoppers.
